Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and self motivated Business Development Manager to drive our company's growth. This fully remote role focuses on identifying and securing new property management clients (property owners, investors, and condo boards) within our target markets.
The ideal candidate is a natural networker with a proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the real estate or property management industry. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to closing new management agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation: Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities with property owners, investors, developers, and condo boards.
Sales & Prospecting: Build and manage a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and attending (virtual or in-person) industry events.
Consultative Selling: Conduct needs-analysis for prospective clients, understanding their pain points and demonstrating how Zulma Real Estate's management services provide the ideal solution.
Proposals & Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, presentations, and management agreements that are tailored to the specific needs of each prospect.
Relationship Building: Nurture long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders, such as real estate agents, brokers, and mortgage specialists, to build a strong referral network.
Market Research: Stay current on industry trends, competitor services, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and refine the sales strategy.
Onboarding: Liaise with the property management team to ensure a smooth and professional handover for all new clients.
Reporting: Track all sales activities and metrics in the CRM system, providing regular reports on pipeline, forecasts, and closed deals.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
3 years of proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management.
A strong "hunter" mentality with a drive to generate new business and achieve sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle independently and remotely.
Strong understanding of consultative sales principles.
Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Pipedrive), Notion and Google Workspace.
A dedicated and professional home office setup with reliable, high-speed internet.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
Direct experience in the property management or real estate services industry.
A valid Real Estate License in Ontario is a significant asset.
An existing network of contacts in the Ontario real estate or investor community.
